This line of gilded Garudas extends all along the side of this building. The Garuda is the legendary "King of the Birds" and is often found guarding royal establishments. Each Garuda is holding a Naga, the legendary multi-headed snake, also often used as a guardian. These Nagas have two tails, an unusual case of artistic license to make a wonderful frieze.
